ABOUT US Like many things in life a small idea can grow into a success story and this was how we as an Association started to achieve our main aim of continued comradeship, keeping in touch with the Cadet Force and assisting the organisation when ever we could. A chance conversation between Dick Drower and Bob Moorton, both retiring from the Sussex ACF after many years of service, agreed that friendships formed over such a long period between all ranks and their ladies should not finish because we had moved on. We agreed to try and form as an Association in 1994 to these aims, and asked Alan Dexter, Mike Perry and Ken Funnel if they would help us and they joined our first committee meeting at Alan Dexter’s home. Our first event was a barbecue held at Dick’s home in June 1994 and hosted by all the committee and their ladies and became one of the many successful functions held at the venue. Our Cadet assistance fund donated by the membership and the Sussex Yeomanry has enabled us to help Cadets to achieve personal goals by attending many expeditions across the world. Since that date we have moved with the times, holding regular functions for our members including an Annual formal dinner, three magazines a year and donating financial support to Cadets when the need arises. Our members, drawn from the ranks of serving, retired and anyone who gives assistance to the Sussex Army Cadet Force has ensured that we achieve our aim and look forward to increased membership which will give us the opportunity to maintain our comradeship and assistance to the Cadets of Sussex Army Cadet Force. If you are not a member please visit the Membership page and consider joining us.  You will be most welcome.       RM
